About The Educational Fund of the Press

An agreement between employees and employers
Pressens Uddannelsesfond (The Educational Fund of the Press) was established in 1975 by mutual agreement between Danish Media Employers’ Association (DMA) and Danish Union of Journalists (DJ) accepted by The Danish Broadcasting Cooperation (DR). The fund gets its means from member companies through a contribution laid down in the agreement. Also companies that are not members of DMA but who employ journalistic manpower can become members of PU.

Means for both education and developement of educational activities
Editorial employees in member companies as well as unemployed DJ-members can apply for means to collective and possible internal education and development activities.

Application online
The application is an online form on this site to be filled in. Individual applications for editorial employees are being dealt with continuously, if possible. Other types of applications are being discussed on the board meetings four times a year.
Unemployed DJ members must contact DJ’s department for development and career (DJ KT).

Lower fare on specific courses
Membership of Pressens Uddannelsesfond gives the employees not only the rights to apply for means, but also to a certain refund on courses and educations published on the online catalogue/website http://mediernesefteruddannelse.dk
